Jeff Sellinger was named Senior Vice President, Disney Learning in November 2013. In this role, he is responsible for building out Disney’s Learning platform and bringing it to market as a cohesive vision and set of products. Disney Learning is focused on delivering innovative, transformative learning products and high-quality experiences for both children and their parents that are enabled through technology, combining digital experiences with physical products.
Most recently, Sellinger was co-founder and Chief Product Officer for shopkick, Inc, the most widely used shopping application in the US. There, he was responsible for multiple aspects of the company, including product strategy, leading retail partner management and operations, hardware operations, and creating the manufacturer business. National retail partners include Target, Best Buy, Macy’s, Old Navy, Toys ‘R’ Us, and over 100 brands including P&G, Kraft, Coca-Cola, HP and Intel. shopkick was acquired by SK Telekom.
Prior to shopkick, Sellinger served as Executive Vice President & General Manager CBS Mobile for CBS Corporation. Jeff was responsible for the CBS Mobile business overseeing CBS Network, CW Network, CBS Sports, CBS News, ET, The Insider, TV.com, LastFM, GameSpot, CHOW, CNET, BNET, ZDNET, and MoneyWatch. Highlights during this time for CBS Mobile included winning two Emmys and the Global College Sports award for the 2009 CBS Sports NCAA March Madness On Demand application for iPhone. The app became the number one ranked paid application in the App Store. Jeff also created and executive produced multiple made for mobile programs.
Prior to joining CBS, Jeff was a founder of GoldPocket Wireless (GPW), leading the company’s operations. GPW ran many of the broadcast and cable TV premium and standard rate SMS campaigns, and was one of the first wallpaper and ringtone delivery platforms in the U.S. The company’s clients included NBC, FOX, TV Guide, The Food Network, The History Channel and CBS. GPW was acquired by Motricity.
