Liat Ben-Zur is a senior vice president and digital technology leader at Philips. She is responsible for driving connected digital platforms and propositions with the aim of delivering truly meaningful innovation across the health continuum. A thought leader in digital transformation, Liat is spearheading the progression of mobile and the Internet of Things (IoT) as they intersect with healthcare, consumer goods, smart homes, sustainability, and more. As a seasoned mobile and platform technology professional, she believes that the future success of IoT revolves around the consumer being the hero, not the technology. Liat is passionate about evolving the healthcare system with connected devices from medical devices to everyday consumer gadgets and has been named by Inspiring Fifty as “One of the Fifty Most Inspirational Women in Technology in the Netherlands 2017.” Other accolades include being named by Mashable as one of “The Female Mentors Making a Difference in Silicon Valley” in 2017 and by the Silicon Republic as one of “4 Women Waves in the World of IoT” in 2016. Prior to her current role, Liat was Chairwoman and co-founder of the AllSeen Alliance, a cross-industry consortium driving an open-source language for IoT, while also leading Qualcomm’s AllJoyn business as the senior director, Product Management. Before joining AllSeen and AllJoyn, Liat built and led Qualcomm’s Developer Ecosystem team. Liat holds a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering from UC Davis and a Master’s in business administration from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.
